This is a very unique Mexican restaurant. The food reminds me of New Mexico. The dishes have a true Southwestern flair. My dish the Chiquiles Birria had real red chili, exactly like New Mexico, served with two eggs on top. In the photo, the eggs were removed. I asked for them on the side. I was truly impressed, and it was delicious. My husband had the Wet Quesadilla, and it was phenomenal. We also had fried ice cream. I requested plain because it tastes perfect without whipped cream, sprinkles, and drizzled chocolate. It's supposed to be served plain. Our server was very attentive and sweet. She is an older Mexican woman and quite familiar with the dishes. I wish I had written down her name because she deserves recognition.

A delightfully decorated Mexican restaurant on route 10 near Publix. The atmosphere is quite nice. Service was excellent at lunch with about a dozen or so tables occupied. The menu contains a wide variety. They do have lunch specials. I indulged in the best of Catrina and it was far more than I could eat. Definitely could be shared with a friend. It was very tasty.

This is a new favorite Mexican restaurant in a city that seems to have nearly as many Mexican restaurants as churches. Lol. The food is prepared well and delicious. I've birria tacos, carnitas, and street tacos. Each time, I left more than satisfied. The service is prompt and polite. And the atmosphere is cool and eclectic in comparison to many of the other Mexican restaurants around. Highly recommended

Exceptional service, AMAZING food. All food came out in a very timely manner, waiter was kind and prompt, atmosphere was gorgeous and welcoming. I absolutely will be back, this place has became a staple restaurant for us.

The service, food & drinks are always impeccable! I’ve only ever received one dish that wasn’t top notch which we order quite frequently and it too has always been great. My family goes here entirely too much but it’s just an all around great place to, eat, drink and spend time with family and friends or even just a quick bite. I can’t say enough about Catrina’s.

I love Mexican and can basically walk into any Mexican spot and have a general idea of what's on the menu. This spot is different. They had quite a few different options. Even their fish tacos gave the option of Tilapia, Salmon, or breaded Mahi Mahi. Their street tacos had 8 different options. My friend ordered Guacamole and they made it table side. And a large Queso is LARGE! It's enough for 4-6 people. I opted for the Pastor Street Tacos. They were delicious, perfectly marinated and topped with onions and cilantro. The side of rice and beans were non existent after I got to them - the rice had a touch of sweetness and the beans (which I usually don't eat) were mild and smooth. Bathroom: I was busy stuffing my face, I forgot to even stop in the bathroom! But I do plan to return to this spot so can grab pics next time .

We were pleasantly surprised! It has a trendy atmosphere, friendly service, a nice bar, delicious food and great drinks. So happy to have something trendy in this area of Suffolk! If you are a local you should definitely check this place out! We will definitely be back to hangout at the bar.

If there were six stars, I'd give it to them. The is the best Mexican food in Suffolk and on par with La Hacienda in Chesapeake. The dining area is pristine and the service is just as good. Truly enjoyed my lunch ACP trio with the added grilled jalapenos. Their refried beans is some of the best I have ever had. I could eat it as an entree, it is that good. Can't wait to go back.
